Now for some vintage, , ,

I just finished my new card fold (side step card I saw on YouTube) with a vintage dressing table feel.  I used Deb's (Deb's Craft Shed) favourite embossing folder for the drawer part and a Spellbinders fancy tag die for the mirror.  The gold foil board doesn't show up that well in the photo but in reality is quite shiny.  For the drawer knobs I stuck a gold split pin through a flower sequin.

The generic photo I used would be lovely replaced with your own photo, how nice to send someone birthday greetings this way, it would be like you were actually saying the words to them.

Not much housework getting done today, I'm off to do another card before dinner time, after all, isn't that what days off from work are for . . . playing with stuff we love.
Have a nice day folks!

Finally a basket

I've finally done a basket card!  I just love the Marianne basket dies. These come with a tiny little flower and an even tinier leaf die - the size is relative to the basket size, but of course you can use whatever flower you want.
After I'd finished putting all the flowers and leaves in place I added some Liquid Pearls to the centres then......grrrrrrr........ I put my finger on the wet pearls and touched the darn card so had to do some punching to create some lace strips to cover the boo-boos.  Then had to add a butterfly to cover another spot, I was going to add a butterfly anyway but might have placed it differently.  Anyway it looks OK, after all, it was only a quick one.
I also did a cupcake card for Bill's (my other-half) granddaughter, she'll be four soon and I just had to try my relatively new cupcake die - again a Marianne Creatable if my memory serves me correctly.
That's it for now!
